Every day in
Manali seemed to look like the day before.
We just wandered around town, ate, hung out in restaurants and bars,
read, rested, spoke with other travelers and tried to figure out how to get
back to Leh. We got more and more
restless every day. By the early
afternoon though, I sent the message below to my family:
Ladakh update: We're a little tired of
Manali. It's a nice place to hang out for a while and smoke weed (at least for
those OTHERS that do) but we're heading back to Leh for a week. We have a 14 hour bus ride to Delhi organized
for tonight and then we have a scheduled flight to Leh again on Tuesday, 17
August at 6:30am. We'll figure out what to do when we get there. Help the
economy or help clean up. We'll see.
